about Fizz

Fizz ("find your fizz") is a free, experimental web application designed to help school children aged 9-15 find structured activities for break times. It was created by Maggie, a 10-year-old child with ADHD, with support from her mum Jeni. It is a genuine child-led project, not a commercial product.

who can use Fizz?

Fizz is intended for use by:

Children aged 9-15 in UK schools, with the awareness of their school or a responsible adult
Teachers and school staff supporting children during break times
Parents or guardians exploring break time support tools for their children

Fizz is not intended for commercial use by businesses or organisations without prior agreement.

free to use — test phase only

Fizz is provided completely free of charge during this test phase. We make no guarantees about how long the free service will continue, or whether Fizz will continue to exist in its current form. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Fizz at any time without notice.

AI-generated content

The activity ideas generated by Fizz are produced by an artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude). Whilst we have designed the system to produce safe, age-appropriate, and helpful suggestions, we cannot guarantee that every suggestion will be perfect. By using Fizz, you acknowledge that:

AI-generated activity ideas are suggestions only and should be used with common sense
Adults supervising children should review activities as appropriate for their setting
Fizz is not responsible for how activity ideas are interpreted or carried out

no liability

Fizz is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maggie and Jeni (the creators of Fizz) accept no liability for:

Any injury, loss, or damage arising from activities suggested by Fizz
Any interruption, error, or unavailability of the Fizz service
Any reliance placed on AI-generated content by users of Fizz

Users are responsible for ensuring any activity is appropriate and safe for their specific circumstances.

By using Fizz, you agree not to:

Use Fizz for any unlawful or harmful purpose
Attempt to misuse, manipulate, or exploit the AI system
Use Fizz to generate any content that is inappropriate for children
Copy or reproduce Fizz's design, code, or content for commercial purposes without permission

The Fizz brand, name, logo, design, and concept were created by Maggie, age 10, with support from her mum Jeni. All rights are reserved. The Fizz brand may not be used, copied, or reproduced without express permission.

Activity ideas generated by the AI engine are provided for personal, non-commercial use by children and schools only.

links and third parties

Fizz uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate activity ideas. By using Fizz, some information is processed by Anthropic under their own terms of service and privacy policy, available at anthropic.com. Fizz is hosted on Netlify under their standard hosting terms.

changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Fizz develops. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Fizz after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
