⚠️ Fizz is a test product created by Maggie, age 10, supported by her mum Jeni. It is not a commercial product. This privacy policy explains clearly and honestly how Fizz handles any information entered into the app.

who we are

Fizz ("find your fizz") is a test product developed by Maggie, a 10-year-old child, with support from her mum Jeni. It is not operated by a company. For any privacy-related questions, please contact us at hello@findyourfizz.co.uk.

what information does Fizz collect?

When a child uses the Fizz activity engine, they enter:

Their first name only (not surname)
Their year group
How long they have for break time
What kind of activity they want
What equipment they have access to
How many ideas they would like

This information is used only to generate activity ideas and is not stored anywhere. It is sent to our AI service, used to create the suggestions, and then discarded. We do not keep logs of individual requests.

does Fizz store any personal data?

No. Fizz does not use any database or storage system. No information entered by a child is saved, stored, or retained after the activity ideas are generated. There are no user accounts, no login system, and no tracking of individual children.

does Fizz use cookies?

Fizz does not use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. The only cookies that may be set are essential technical cookies required for the website to function, set by our hosting provider Netlify.

does Fizz use AI?

Yes. When a child submits the form, the information is sent securely to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate activity ideas. Anthropic's API is used under their standard terms. The information sent is not used to train any AI model. You can read Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

is Fizz compliant with UK GDPR and COPPA?

Fizz has been designed with child privacy in mind. Because Fizz does not store, process, or retain any personal data beyond the immediate generation of activity ideas, it operates with minimal data risk. However, as this is a test product built by a child with her mum's support, it has not been formally audited. Schools using Fizz should satisfy themselves that it meets their own data protection requirements before use.

who can see the information entered?

The information entered travels securely (via HTTPS) to our server function, which passes it to Anthropic's AI service. No human reads or reviews individual submissions. The information is not shared with any third parties beyond Anthropic for the purpose of generating the activity response.

what are children's rights?

Under UK GDPR, individuals have the right to access, correct, and delete their personal data. Because Fizz does not store any personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have concerns, please contact us at hello@findyourfizz.co.uk.

changes to this policy

As Fizz develops, this privacy policy may be updated. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage schools and parents to review this page periodically.
